Image The school draws its student body from the international community in Maturín, especially children of oil company executives, and from those members of the local community attracted by the school program and philosophy. Currently there are 184 students, 55 in the pre-school, 70 in grades 1-5, 37 in grades 6-8, and 22 in the high school.

As the economic and political situation in Venezuela has become more stable and economic activity has increased, this has led to climbing enrollments.

The student body is expected to continue to grow in the next few years.

Approximately 70% of ISM students are Venezuelan, 8% North American, and the rest from eleven other countries.
